Even more data at your fingertips

Have you visited FNIGC Data Online lately? Since its launch in December 2013 the online application has been embraced by a wide range of users, including First Nations people, members of the academic community, university students, community organizers, policy makers and government stakeholders, all of whom have come to value the access to FNIGC’s First Nations data.
And now, there’s even more to love!
In the months since its launch FNIGC Data Online has grown to include nearly 80 charts, tables and graphs about First Nations people and communities. This includes information about employment, education, First Nations languages, internet access, income and environment.
The new data adds to the unique, credible information about life in First Nations communities already available on FNIGC Data Online, including data about health, nutrition and food security.
FNIGC Data Online is an easy-to-use tool that offers access to published data from FNIGC, starting with the First Nations Regional Health Survey Phase 2 (FNRHS). Available at data.fnigc.ca/online, FNIGC Data Online gives users the unprecedented ability to generate charts, tables and graphs based on FNIGC’s robust data about First Nations people living on reserve and northern communities, at no cost.
In the coming months, results from the First Nations Regional Early Childhood, Education and Employment Survey (which is currently in-the-field) will also be uploaded to the tool.
