A member of the Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation, Jonathan Plante has been at FNIGC since September 2018, and is currently the Director of Corporate Services. In his role Jonathan is responsible for finance, human resources, information technology, information management, and communications.
Jonathan has a Masters degree in Public Administration from Dalhousie University and a Bachelors degree in Consumer Studies from the University of Guelph, where he had the opportunity to study at the London School of Economics. Jonathan started his career in Toronto with the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business, where he was selected to participate in the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference.
In 2012 Jonathan was part of an Indigenous production of King Lear at the National Arts Centre as part of the Four Nations Exchange theatre project. Before coming to FNIGC he enjoyed a career spanning 17 years with the federal government.
