Zachary Smith

Zachary Smith is the Associate Director of the Chiefs of Ontario’s (COO) Research and Data Management (RDM) sector. Born in Toronto to family originally from Wasauksing First Nation, Zachary leads RDM’s research navigation unit, and works with the Director’s Office on regional-level initiatives to advance First Nations data sovereignty in Ontario. Prior to his role at the Chiefs of Ontario, Zachary worked with several Toronto-based Indigenous community organizations. He holds a BA and MA in Political Science from York University.
